It was “Wear What You Dare” Day at school today.  Sage dressed as the tooth fairy and River went as a cat.

Wear what you dare

There were some pretty great costumes.  I wish I’d gotten some better pictures.  It was like Halloween, but without the trick-or-treating.  River’s friend Alex (aka Harry Potter) is just visible on the right.

River also received a bronze award for her excellent work and was recognized at the assembly as “one of the most kind and helpful” children in the whole of Lower School.  We were pretty proud!

  1. What great news! I am so glad I decided to go online tonight!
I love your costumes–I was wondering what you would wear! Last year you hadn’t started school yet when they had “Wear What You Dare Day”. I remember that we were looking in at your classroom, Sage, and saw everyone in costume–even the teachers dress up, right?
And to River–smart, kind and helpful!!! What a perfect combination!
I love you all! From Grana

  2. I forgot to mention that River also got her “Pen License” this week. This allows her to use a pen for some of her school work, recognizing that her handwriting and spelling have achieved a good standard. She’s been working hard on both of these and is pleased to have earned this license.

  3. River and Sage,

You both looked so cute in your costumes. What fun!! River, Grampa and I are so proud of how you are doing. Sage, Did you think up the tooth fairy costume. Very Clever!!!!! Grammy Gail
