I’ve been enjoying playing capoeira recently. I’m looking forward to the autumn Cordao de Ouro event in Nottingham this weekend. Hopefully, I’ll get some good pictures. In the meantime, check out this video from one of our regular training classes.
Edit: Molly said that I should mention that I’m in the video about half-way through.

It’s great that you’ve been doing capoeira, Kerrie!
I’ve only been playing capoeira for about a year, so I’m no expert, but I can remember feeling that initial fear of entering the roda. I’ve found that people are generally quite welcoming to beginners and no one will give you a hard time for giving it a shot, even if you don’t play particularly well.
Once you get over that initial fear, it quickly becomes an amazing experience. I still felt nervous playing with people at the workshops last weekend, but it was also incredibly fun!

You’ve got the moves Andy!!! It looks like you’re having a lot of fun. I’m glad that you have found a hobby/sport that you enjoy so much. I’ve met so many people around here that do Capoeira, it seems like I should just go…the energy’s pointing in that direction.
I miss you and the ladies!
Love,
Danielle

Hi Andy–I knew that was you!! However, I didn’t notice that your beard was missing until Petra pointed it out when I saw her on Sunday!
I am so bad at noticing things like that–what a witness I’d make!
Re capoeira–how do you know what to do and when to do it? It is very impressive!! Love, your mom
