The kids had their grading for Tae Kwon Do yesterday. Sage was going for her yellow tag, which is the next belt after the initial white belt.

River is going for her green tag, the step after yellow belt.

Here is a video of River doing her form called Dan-Gun Tul, which is named after the legendary founder of Korea.

Tossing cherry petals

They celebrated by throwing cherry blossoms in the air at our friends’ house. Molly spent the afternoon at her first Brazilian Jujitsu class, which she loved. She did whinge a bit about a sore larynx from an over-enthusiastic choke hold, but I guess that’s par for the course.

  1. Cool video; I like how strong and precise River looks… and her top-knot is totally cool, too.

  2. You girls are both smart and strong–you are taking good care of your bodies and your minds! Keep up the good work! You must have found a huge pile of cherry blossoms–that looks like a whole cloud of them that you are throwing up in the air! Love, Grana
