Well, we’ve had a well-celebrated birthday weekend. At River’s request, we spent most of the day yesterday at Alton Towers, a theme park located fairly close to Derby. We had a wonderful time! There were plenty of fun rides for everyone. River even tried some of the big adrenaline thrill rides that spin you around and upside down at high speed. The weather was horrid, but at least the it kept the queues to a minimum.
Later that night, Molly and Sage played a duet of “Happy Birthday”.
River enjoyed her presents, particularly this diablo juggling device.
We awoke this morning to a blanket of snow . I know it doesn’t seem like much to those of you in New England, but it’s the most we’ve seen this year. It was very beautiful.
We had strawberry shortcake with some friends,
and opened some presents.
It started snowing again later in the day,
so they went back out to catch snowflakes.
